Mahatma Gandhi was born on October 2nd, 1869 in  Porbadar.

In 1876 he and his family moved to Rajkot where Gandhi went to school.

In 1883 he married Kastourbai and had 4 children.

Gandhi moved to London in 1888 and went to the University College of London. It was hard for him to get used to the life in London. There he studied many religions, including Cristianism.

He returned to India in 1891. He opened an office as a lawyer, but he didn’t succeed. But, he was asked to work as a lawyer in South Africa.

When he arrived in South Africa, he fought against the Aparchaid. For that, many times he went to prison. He stayed in South Africa for 20 years. During those years he fought for the human rights and he succeeded.

When he returned to India, Gandhi used the methods of the passive resistance against the British, so he made India an independent country.

Unfortunately, Gandhi was shot in 1948 in New Delhi.
