We went on this unexpected back-on-time trip to Middle Earth, a medieval festival where all our dreams became true!
The festival was well organized. There were storytellers for the little fellows, tables with handmade jewels from the middle earth, such as rings, amulets, bracelets etc.
Of course, there was a big amount of food and liquor as well!
We couldn’t but stop to the well known tavern ''the Prancing Pony'' where we saw Elves, wizards, white city guards, dancers, dwarves, hobbits and all the creatures that someone could imagine!
They were all gathered in that fest!
At the end of the festival there were dances performed by the girls of Umbar, a fencing performance and competitions with Gollum’s riddles. The winner would take figures from the characters from the movies ''Lord of The Rings'' and ''Hobbit''.
The festival was a co-operation between Excalibur bar and The Greek Tolkien Society.
It was something new here in Greece and we can’t wait for the next one!
written by Helen Koufopoulou and Antigone Kamara.
many thanks to the Greek Tolkien Society for the photos http://tolkien.gr/
